Looks like way too much tension on those driver swings.

Dustin;s swing is actually sooo unique, with that bowed wrist at the top he definately needs to release all through his lower body, if he flips hes done, but this is were he gets his power, many long hitters have the wrist flat to bowed at the top and drive through with there lower body.

What else are his hands supposed to do at impact?

Wtf are you talking about, his arm is fine….lol.

Try changing your grip to something weaker but you must also keep your spine angle.

If you are hitting the ball on the upswing and keep your head behind the ball at impact with the driver, I can guarantee you will never hit another duck or snap hook again, unless you are flipping your hands over really fast. Don’t forget also that you need to tilt your shoulders so that the left is higher than the right at address!!

it’s gonna stay that way unless you let them at least start to unbow through impact.

ya it works for people who have inconsistency with club positions at the top on longer clubs

My swing and stance is almost identical to his. I have never seen anyone stand wide as I did til now. I hit my 7 iron around 200 yards also but I can only duck hook a driver 75 yards out of bounds haha

My hands are nearly as bowed as Dustins at the top of my backswing and I HATE IT!! Nothing but thin shots! Works for him though.

His right arm gets infront of his belly button which adds 30 yards

1:17 is arm looks broken, great flexibility though

The reason his left wrist is bowed is because he is as some people would call it “cocking” it right from the start of the swing. If you have never heard of that then check out Joe Dante’s 4 magic moves in golf and you will learn why Dustin is one of the best golfers in the world.. It’s so simple, it works!

When you talk about mechanics with this type of swing you have just eliminated more than 90% of the chance that you could ever slice!! What a deal!

man bowed left wrist or not, hits a 7I 200 yards, not to mention up there with driving accuracy. one of my favorited golfers. now, if only he could finish a damn tournament lol

@thefamiliepak what swing are u looking at? DJ’s head is still facing the ball at impact on every swing.

looks like his right hand comes off the club slightly at impact, similar to Vijay.

Haha yeah. What was interesting though is that watching a lot of the tour pros, a fair amount did ground their clubs in the bunker when practicing. I don’t know why, maybe just to get an idea of how the sand was or something.

Yeah maybe the habit of doing that is why he messed up at the USPGA lol
